
The temporary truce between Israel and Hamas will begin tomorrow at 7 am local time, Qatar's foreign ministry announced.
During a press conference in Doha, a ministry spokesman said the first group of hostages would be released at 4 p.m. Dr. Majed al Ansari said that the first group consists of 13 people and that they will return to their families.
"The start of the break will be at 7am on Friday, November 24, and will last as agreed for four days," he said.
"The first group of civilians to be released from Gaza will be around 16:00 on the same day. They will be 13 in number, all women and children. Our main objective is the safety of the hostages," Ansari added. , who declined to specify the route they will take to leave Gaza.
He said the meetings between the two sides went "very well" and continued into the early hours of this morning.
As for humanitarian aid, he said it would be allowed into the Palestinian enclave from 7am and delivered "as soon as possible" from the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.
"It will be a part of the aid needed in Gaza. Although the needs are very great we will try to meet them. Our goal is that this agreement ends with a lasting ceasefire", added Dr al Ansari.
