The new Serbian government, Vučević, proposes the names of new ministers:

The mandate for the formation of the Government of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, proposed on Monday the names of the new ministers in the cabinet.

As he warned, his Government will consist of 25 ministers and five ministers without portfolio.

Aleksandar Vulin, the former head of the intelligence service, who has been under the sanctions of the United States of America since July 2023, will return to the position of deputy prime minister - among other things, due to ties with Russia.

The current head of Serbian diplomacy, Ivica Dacic, will lead the Ministry of Internal Affairs, while the Minister of Defense will be Bratislav Gasic, until now the Minister of Police.

Marko Gjuric, former ambassador of Serbia to the US and former director of the Office for Kosovo in Serbia, will join the Government as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Another official from the "black list" of the USA, due to ties with Russia, Nenad Popovic, will also be part of the Government as a minister without portfolio.

"Zavetnici" in the Government

Millica Gjurgjevic Stamenkovski, head of the right-wing party, Zavetnici, will head the Ministry for Family Care.

This party, until now, has acted in the opposition, but, after the elections of December 17, it started cooperation with the Serbian Progressive Party, which is in power.

As her partner in the coalition, she will also participate in the next local elections in Serbia, which will be held on June 2.

The new ministers of the Serbian Government include the former State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Nemanja Starović, as Minister of Labour, Darko Gllishić as Minister of Public Investments and Dejan Ristić as Minister of Information.

Zllatibor Llonçar will return to the head of the Ministry of Health, who did not hold this position in the previous composition, while the Ministry of Culture will be taken by Nikolla Selaković.

The current Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, will lead the Ministry of Agriculture.

The new Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government will be Jellena Zharic Kovačević, while Adrijana Mesarović will be the Minister of Economy.

Who held the ministries?

Sinisha Malli remains in charge of the Ministry of Finance, as well as Irena Vujović as Minister of Ecology and Dubravka Gjedović Handanović as Minister of Mines and Energy.

The Minister of Justice remains Maja Popović and the Minister of Construction remains Goran Vesić. Tomislav Momirović also holds the portfolio of Internal and Foreign Trade.

Tanja Mishqević remains the Minister for European Integration, while Slavica Gjukić Dejanović will again be the Minister of Education.

Jellena Begović will be the Minister of Science in this composition as well, while Millan Zarečbabić will continue to lead the Ministry for Care of the Villages.

Tomislav Zhigmanov will be the leader of the Ministry for Human Rights and Minorities in this mandate, while Zoran Gajic will be the Minister of Sports again.

In addition to Nenad Popović, the new Serbian Government will have four other ministers without portfolio. They are: Novica Tončev, Gjorgje Milliqeviq, Usame Zukorlliq and Tatjana Macura.

Tončev and Milliqević, officials of the Socialist Party of Serbia, were ministers without portfolio even in the last composition of the Government.
