Genc Nimandbegu is one of the newly elected Albanian MPs to represent Albanians in the Parliament of Montenegro.
As a newly elected deputy, he said that Albanians will now have a greater representation in the Parliament of Montenegro, because by competing in two lists they managed to win more deputies.
Also, Nimaneg said that he and the other Albanian MPs are waiting and looking for support, as far as the issues that affect Albanians, from Kosovo and from Albania, since as he said, this was missing before.
"It is a pleasure that we will finally have one more madat in the Albanian ksitas. We have competed in two lists and we will have a larger number of Albanians than before. These elections have witnessed tectonic movements in the internal politics of Montenegro.
We will now have a completely different balance in the politics of Montenegro after three years of political wandering and with sincere or insincere coalitions, the influence of the church can be given the opportunity to form a more stable government. We expect support from Kosovo and from Albania, as we have not had support from Albania before and I hope that this will change", Genc Nimanbegu told Euronews Albania.
As never before, 6 Albanian deputies will be in the new parliament of Montenegro, out of 81 in total. Three of them directly representing Albanians and their interests through national parties.
After the end of the counting process, the "Albanian Forum" coalition of Nik Gjeloshaj secured 2 seats of parliament and a seat in the Assembly was taken by Genc Nimanbegu with the "Aleanca Albanian" coalition. An important increase in these elections was marked by the "Albanian Forum" which, in addition to Gjeloshaj, will lead Nikollë Camaj to the Assembly.
