US President Joe Biden again called on Congress on Friday to send more aid to Ukraine after Russia launched a massive airstrike today.
Putin's forces hit six major cities and surrounding villages with 122 missiles and dozens of drones in the most intense and brutal airstrike since Putin's occupation began 22 months ago.
At least 144 people were injured and an unspecified number were still trapped under the rubble during the nearly 18-hour attack, Ukrainian officials said.
Biden responded by appealing to Congress to pass his $61 billion aid package to Kiev.
" The rockets reportedly hit a maternity hospital, a shopping center and residential areas killing innocent people and injuring dozens more. It is a stark reminder to the world that after nearly two years of this devastating war, Putin's objective remains unchanged. He seeks to wipe out Ukraine and subjugate its people. He must be stopped ," said Biden.
