The USA sent a message to Putin, Dodik and Vucic that they cannot cause unrest in the region...

The United States of America has sent a message to Russia and all those who want to foment discord in the Balkans. Tomorrow Milorad Dodik and those who follow him celebrate the "Day of Republika Srpska", a holiday which is contrary to the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Likewise, Dodik, with the support of Russia and Serbia, has emphasized several times that he is trying to secede this part of Bosnia. However, the USA, in order to send a message that this is not going to happen, flew two F-16 planes today in the territory of Bosnia.

The F-16 jets flew as part of a joint exercise with Bosnian forces. The flights were carried out in the regions of the eastern city of Tuzla and northern Brcko, according to a statement from the United States embassy in Sarajevo.

"This bilateral exercise is an example of advanced military cooperation that contributes to peace and security in the Western Balkans, as well as demonstrates the commitment of the United States to guarantee the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the face of activities against (the) Dayton (agreement). The United States has underlined that the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina does not contain the right to secede and will act if anyone tries to change this fundamental element of the Dayton peace accords that ended the 1992-95 war in the country", it is emphasized. in the statement.

Ethnic conflict in the 1990s erupted as Bosnian Serbs wanted to create their own state and join neighboring Serbia. More than 100,000 people were killed before the war ended with a US-brokered peace deal that created Serb and Bosnian-Croat entities that are held together by shared institutions.

Milorad Dodik, who is president of the Serbian entity called Republika Srpska, has defied US and British sanctions on his policies. Backed by Russia, he has repeatedly threatened to separate the Serb-run half from the rest of Bosnia.

Dodik's government on Monday began celebrating a controversial national holiday that Bosnia's top court has declared illegal. On January 9, 1992, the Bosnian Serbs declared the creation of an independent state in Bosnia, which led to bloodshed.

Bosnian media reported that the sound of the jets could be heard in the northwestern city of Banja Luka, the capital of the Serbian entity, during a ceremonial gathering there. In a speech, Milorad Dodiku repeated that "the goal of the Serbian people is a Serbian state in these areas".

Milorad Dodiku scoffed at the flights, saying they would contribute to Tuesday's celebrations, which usually include a parade of armed police and a display of their equipment.

But the American jets seem to have spooked Dodik, who toned down the disengagement rhetoric.

The leader of Bosnia's Serbs told Reuters news agency on Monday that he had no plans to seek secession, backing away from previous calls for a separate republic amid increasing pressure from the United States.

"We do not call for revolution. We are not preparing for war, we are preparing for political decisions at the level of the state parliament and at the level of the parliament of the Republika Srpska", said Milorad Dodik.

The raising of the planes was a clear message for Russia, where the US is showing that it is there and will not allow a new war in the Balkans. / Pamphlet
