Many demonstrators in Jerusalem have called for the immediate dismissal of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from office.
Protesters gathered outside the premises of one of his private residences in the city.
Thousands of demonstrators also gathered near the Israeli military headquarters in Tel Aviv to demand the release of all hostages held by Hamas.
On the second day of a temporary Israel-Hamas ceasefire, 13 Israeli hostages held by Hamas are expected to be released in exchange for 39 Palestinian prisoners, in a three-to-one ratio.
Official Tel Aviv, in return, released 39 Palestinian prisoners, among them 24 women and 15 teenagers. During the four-day ceasefire, the militant group has vowed to release at least 50 of the roughly 240 hostages it took during the deadly Oct. 7 attack, while Tel Aviv will free about 150 prisoners.
