The US today imposed new sanctions on officials and financial institutions linked to Russia and North Korea.
The Treasury Department said the sanctions targeted Pyongyang's financial activities and military support for Moscow.
North Korean banks, generals and other officials, as well as Russian oil shipping companies are all targeted in the latest US move aimed at curbing North Korea's support for the war in Ukraine.
The US Treasury Department said North Korean banks include Golden Triangle Bank and Korea Mandal Credit Bank. The officials include North Korean generals who were among the thousands of troops Pyongyang has deployed to Russia to help its war effort in Ukraine.
