According to Greek police, the bomb explosion outside the offices of the Hellenic Railways company on Friday evening caused limited material damage.
As can be seen in photos published by Greek media, the explosion caused damage to the mezzanine floor of the building where the railway company's offices are located, to the facade, and to parked vehicles.
What does ELAS think about the bomb?
ELAS officers describe it as "symbolic." The investigation team and experts are trying to collect any remains, while the Counter-Terrorism Service, which has taken over the investigation, has begun collecting footage from security cameras that may have recorded the attackers' movements to determine if there are any similarities to the attack on the Ministry of Labor.
At the same time, people previously accused of terrorism and who are free, for whom there was previously information about reactivation, are being scanned.
Testimonies from eyewitnesses, residents and workers in the area will also play a key role in solving the case.
However, everything indicates that behind the symbolic attack (as characterized by Anti-Terrorism analysts) with a bomb on the company's offices are the same people who 15 months ago, in early February 2024, attacked the Ministry of Labor in Stadiou and signed their action under the name "Self-defense of the revolutionary class".
