The new government of Milojko Spajic has been created with a big problem from the beginning, so even Dritan Abazovic, the prime minister in office who is also the main enemy of Spajic, has predicted that it will be overthrown soon.
The United States of America is not at all sure about the new government of Montenegro, which depends on the pro-Russian majority Andria Mandic and Milan Kezevic.
Although the party of the Serbs of President Jalov Mijatovic has changed 'hairs' and received the European label, the US fears that the Balkan NATO country may have opened safety valves against Belgrade and Moscow.
It was the main newspaper of Montenegro, 'Vijesti', that published an article, referring to the sources of the US embassy in Podgorica, which clearly expresses the fear of relations with extreme pro-Russian parties such as that of Mandić and Knezović, who just like the "wolf" of Kesulkuqe, they have only changed the color.
The new government of Milojko Spajic has been created with a big problem from the beginning, so even Dritan Abazovic, the prime minister in office who is also the main enemy of Spajic, has predicted that it will be overthrown soon.
This government is supported by pro-Serb votes, who will hold the head of the Parliament of Montenegro, which is a very important post, in a situation where majorities depend on small numbers.
The ally of Dritan Abazovic, the democrat Aleksa Becic, the mandated Montenegrin prime minister, has given all the security positions, to convince the allies that it is a situation like in 2020, when Ura e Abazovic had these positions. But it seems that this has not convinced the Americans.
The leader of the Democrats, Aleksa Bečič, will hold the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Security, while the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of the Interior will be held by this party.
" The United States of America is still very concerned about the possibility that the 'Coalition for the Future of Montenegro' (ZBCG) will be part of the new government ", it is emphasized in the position published by "Vijesti".
The American ambassador in Podgorica, Judy Reising Reinke, recently told "Vijesti" that the USA is very concerned about the announcements that the new decision on the coalition may include parties and leaders "who are actively against Euro-Atlantic values", alluding to ZBCG .
" The reality is that the participation in the government of groups or leaders who refuse to condemn Russian aggression, refuse to protect the rights of Ukraine, refuse to support European Union (EU) sanctions against Russia, refuse to protect the rights of minorities and Refusal to respect of the sovereignty of neighboring countries such as Kosovo, will drastically hinder the efforts of Montenegro in achieving European aspirations ", emphasized the ambassador.
Two days ago, the leaders of the 11 parties concluded a coalition agreement for the formation of the new government, according to which the ZBCG must support the government from the parliament and enter it by the end of 2024. Until then, the government must consist from Europe Now, the Democrats, the People's Socialist Party, the Albanian Forum and the Albanian Alliance.
The PES should have the prime minister and ten ministers in the executive branch, the democrats two vice presidents and four portfolios, the PPS two ministers, the Albanian Forum a deputy prime minister and two portfolios (one of which will be covered by the deputy prime minister).
According to the agreement, the pro-Serbian party ZBCG will have the Speaker of the Assembly and after two years, the plan is to take the post of Vice President for Infrastructure and four ministries - Transport, Education, Tourism and Spatial Planning and Urbanism.
Until now, the participation of ZBCG in the government has been opposed by international partners, primarily the USA, emphasizing in some cases that this coalition is not their ally and that they "expect cooperation with the government, members of to which they support Montenegro's membership in the EU, to accept NATO's unique support for Ukraine and the civilian nature of the state... ".
ZBCG has opposed EU sanctions against Russia, the country's membership in NATO, the recognition of Kosovo's independence, etc.
Meanwhile, the Albanians are also badly divided after the decision of Nik Gjeloshaj to join the new government of Spajic, having an agreement with Mandić. The Democratic League of Montenegro has expressed opposition to Gjeloshaj's decision to enter the government, without asking the coalition allies.
" We express our regret and indignation that our coalition partners, without consultation and unilaterally, agreed to legitimize a pro-Russian, anti-Albanian and anti-citizen Government. The practices established earlier, the formal commitments for a pro-Western orientation preceded the formation of another government which continues to work on its own pro-Russian agenda, is unacceptable to us and we consider harmful for the Albanians in Montenegro", the statement emphasized .
Meanwhile, the other Albanian parties, Mehmet Zenka's and Genc Nimanbeg's, have opposed Gjeloshaj's decision to participate in the new government.
Milojko Spajic, the mandated prime minister, has opposed from the beginning an alliance with Abazovic and Djukanovic's PDS. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister in office, Dritan Abazovic, has stated several times that the sooner the 45th government will be formed, that is, the one that is expected to be established, the sooner the 46th will be formed. Anticipating a quick end, as happened with the government of the Prime Minister, Zdravko Krivokapic, who did not stay in office for more than 9 months. / Pamphlet
