Large plumes of smoke have risen over northern Gaza, confirming that Israel is continuing its attacks, even though a ceasefire was supposed to have begun.
The Israeli military said earlier that they had struck "terrorist targets" in northern and central Gaza and that they were "continuing to operate" in the region.
Sirens have also sounded in communities near the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military said.
After 470 days of war, the ceasefire that was set to come into effect between Israel and Hamas at 6:30 a.m. today has been delayed.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the ceasefire would not begin until Hamas provided a list of hostages to be released during the day.
Hamas said the delay was for "technical" reasons.
