Saudi Arabia's foreign minister said the kingdom is "very concerned" that tensions in the Red Sea could spiral out of control and escalate conflict in the region.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan made the comments amid attacks by Yemen's Houthis and US strikes on Houthi targets.
"I mean, of course, we're very concerned. We're in a very difficult and dangerous time in the region and that's why we're calling for escalation ," he said during an interview with CNN.
The Saudi minister stressed that the kingdom believes in freedom of navigation and wants tensions in the region to de-escalate.
