British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has underlined the importance of unity ahead of his meeting today at the White House.
"The world is becoming increasingly dangerous and it is more important than ever that we stand united with our allies," Starmer said in comments released by Downing Street.
The Prime Minister also mentioned the economy, borders, and national security as key points on his agenda with the government, also highlighting AI and space as opportunities for closer cooperation with the US.
On Wednesday, Starmer was due to meet with CEOs of major American businesses in an attempt to showcase the UK's offering to investors.
The war in Ukraine will be a focal point for the meeting and it follows Macron's visit to Washington DC earlier in the week, when he met with US President Donald Trump to discuss Ukraine's security.
Days after the third anniversary of Russia's invasion, the prime minister said he would do his best to ensure that there were no negotiations on Ukraine without Ukraine.
