Sweden towards NATO membership, Erdogan signs the decree

The "green light" has been given to Sweden's membership in NATO.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed the ratification by the parliament today.

After 20 months of delay, with this signature of the Turkish president, the biggest obstacle to the expansion of the alliance has been "cleared".

This marks the final step expected from official Stockholm to pursue NATO membership.

So Hungary remains the only country that has not yet ratified Sweden's membership.
