An unusual moment occurred during an extraordinary session of the Serbian Government.
And this moment has certainly attracted the attention of the public and social networks.
According to Serbian media, during President Aleksandar Vučić's speech, a minister's phone went off at 11:15 a.m., briefly interrupting the meeting. The incident was widely commented on online, with many citizens mocking the fact that the session was held on a Sunday.
Vučić reacted irritated by the noise, emphasizing that such a situation had never happened to him during live broadcasts.
Vučić convened the government on Sunday, warning ministers of dismissal if they overdo it with vacations.
According to Vučić, they should be on alert because the situation in the country and outside Serbia will be chaotic. He predicted that Ukraine will be a member of the European Union from January 1, 2027, with the forced amendment of the current treaties.
"There will be forced changes in procedures, contrary to the current rules of the EU's functioning. It remains for us to defend our interests and see what we can do. We paid a high price for a sovereign and independent policy, because we did not want to sign anything just because we received an email or a fax from Brussels. This is why not a single chapter of negotiations has been opened for us in these four years. Think I'm a fool for not being able to judge whether European power will decline or increase. That's for sure, Europe's power will decline," Vučić said.
Vučić said he was grateful to America for the suspension of strategic talks with Kosovo, the operating license for the energy company NIS, and the non-placement of Serbia on the blacklist for immigrant visas, which, he said, was a political signal. He added that everyone is afraid of holding a grudge against the Americans. He requested a meeting with representatives of Serbs from Kosovo, so that they could be offered additional assistance.
