For the first time, a robot will conduct an orchestra. The robot "EveR 6" will direct the show "Absence" which will be held in South Korea.
The robot was created by the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) and will be the conductor at the concert to be held on June 30.
The android robot named "EveR 6" resembles the human body. He can even flexibly use his neck and arm.
The robot and conductor Choi Soo-yeol will perform separately at the concert, after which the two conductors will conduct the concert together.
Choi says the biggest challenge for robots is interaction and communication. The performance of the "EveR 6" robot at the concert will be the first in South Korea. Robots conducted orchestras in Japan and Switzerland.
