So far, only two people have been saved, the plane was destroyed by flames...
Another air accident claimed the lives of hundreds of people. Following the downing of the plane in Kazakhstan, a similar accident has occurred in South Korea causing at least 120 deaths so far, while many others are missing.
Around midnight our local time (9am local time in South Korea) a 'Jeju Air' plane made a failed attempt to land at Muan International Airport.

In a second attempt, the plane, with 181 people on board, ran off the runway and crashed into a wall at the airport.
Footage broadcast on South Korean television shows the plane was speeding before it crashed.

Bird strike is one possible cause being looked into by officials, who are also looking at the weather conditions at the time of the crash.
News1 reported that a passenger texted a relative saying a bird was stuck on the wing of the plane.

South Korea's transport ministry said the plane was manufactured in 2009. Jeju Air apologized for the incident in a statement, but said the plane had no previous accident record.
In a statement, Boeing said: " We are in contact with Jeju Air regarding flight 2216 and are ready to support them. We express our deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones and our thoughts remain with the passengers and the crew ".

So far, only two people have been rescued. Two crew members, a man and a woman, were rescued from the burning tail section of the plane, according to local fire chief Lee Jeong-hyeon.
They are being treated in hospital with moderate to serious injuries, the head of a local public health center said.

Mr Lee said the fire was out by 1pm local time. " Only the tail part retains some shape, and the rest (of the plane) looks almost unrecognizable ," he added.
Authorities have switched from a rescue operation to a recovery operation due to the force of the impact and are searching nearby for bodies thrown from the plane, the fire chief added. / Pamphlet
