Host Jimmy Kimmel, who opened the 96th Academy Awards ceremony, decided to read live some criticism on social networks about the way he was running the cinematic event.
Kimmel quoted former US President Donald Trump as a bad host.
"Has there ever been a worse host than Jimmy Kimmel at the Oscars? The opening he made was that of an ordinary person trying too hard to be someone he is not and can never be. Get rid of Kimmel and maybe replace him with another cheap ABC 'talent', George Slopanopoulos. He would make everyone on stage look bigger, stronger and more glamorous. A really bad, boring and unfair show. Why don't they give the Oscar to those who deserve it. Maybe this way their TV audience and ratings will come back," Trump wrote.
Kimmel fired back at the former president, saying, “Blah, blah, blah… Okay, now, see if you can guess which former president just posted this on SocialStream. Anyone? No? Well, thank you President Trump. Thanks for watching, I'm surprised you're still…isn't it past your bedtime, or rather jail time?”
