Marco Rubio will be the US Secretary of State. President-elect Donald Trump officially confirmed his proposal, saying the best things about it.
" He will be a strong advocate for our nation, a true friend to our allies and a fearless fighter who will never back down from our adversaries ," Trump said in a statement.

Conservative lawmaker Marco Rubio is known for his strong stances on China, Cuba and Iran and was one of the candidates Mr Trump was considering for the vice-presidential post, before finally settling on Senator JD Vance.
Rubio is vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
He has pushed for a tougher stance against China by targeting the Chinese-owned social media app TikTok. He and other lawmakers say Beijing can provide access to user data whenever it wants.
