United States President Donald Trump has called on Iran's leadership not to proceed with the execution of eight Iranian women, stressing that such a decision would be seen as a positive gesture.
According to a post published by Trump himself on the Truth Social platform, he shared a piece by an American pro-Israel activist, Eyal Yakobi. In this post, the activist claims that Iranian authorities are preparing to hang eight women, including their photographs.
However, so far there has been no confirmation from official sources about the accuracy of these claims, which leaves it unclear whether the information is verified.
In his message, Trump addressed Iranian leaders directly, stressing that he would welcome the release of the women in question. He added that such a step would be considered a sign of goodwill and could create a more positive climate for future negotiations between the two countries.
His statement comes at a time when representatives of the United States and Iran are expected to enter into a negotiation process, while the issue of human rights remains a sensitive point in relations between the two countries.
