Trump's second term in the shadow of scandal
Trump's second term has been marked by controversy from day one. Critics accuse the administration of undermining democratic norms, particularly regarding the rule of law, press freedom, and institutional accountability.
The nationwide deportation campaign is described as an attack on basic constitutional rights, while Trump's erratic foreign policy weakens the United States' credibility on the world stage.
Trump has previously spoken about his hosting skills, declaring: "If I can't beat Jimmy Kimmel in terms of talent, then I shouldn't be president." The White House initially did not respond to questions about how the president intends to gauge the public's reaction to his possible departure from politics.
