Donald Trump, during one of the longest speeches he has given at the forum, found time to comment on the appearance of French President Emmanuel Macron, causing smiles, but also reactions.
" I heard Macron yesterday talking with those nice sunglasses on. What happened to him? I saw he was trying to play tough, " Trump said in a scathing tone, referring to the new look of the French president who has been appearing in public with dark glasses for several days.
In fact, Macron is using glasses due to a subconjunctival hemorrhage, a minor health problem, without serious consequences, but this detail has not escaped media and... business attention.
The glasses in question are the "Pacific S01" model, priced at 659 euros, manufactured by the French company Henry Jullien, based in Lons-le-Saunier (Jura), which in 2023 was acquired by Italian entrepreneur Stefano Fulchir, founder of iVision Tech, a company that is now in free fall on the stock market thanks to the "Macron effect".
" We usually produce around 100 pairs a year of this model, but now with this publicity, it is very likely that we will be asked for over 1,000 ," Fulchir told French radio RTL, stressing that this international exposure is turning into an unexpected success for the French luxury brand.
