A person was found charred inside a vehicle in the Mariolata area, in the prefecture of Fokida.
According to reports, the victim is suspected to be the owner of the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the tragedy was accompanied by another alarming episode, as almost at the same time a fire was reported in an apartment in Mariolata, which belonged to the same person.
Multiple firefighting forces were immediately deployed to tackle both fires. While the vehicle was completely destroyed, the fire in the apartment was still burning at the time of reporting, making it difficult for emergency services to intervene.
Authorities have launched investigations to clarify the circumstances of the incident and determine the causes of the two fires, while no motive is being ruled out.
