Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Monday that he had a phone call with his American counterpart Antony Blinken during which he asked for ATACMS long-range missiles.
Kiev has long sought the long-range weapons, but the US has balked over fears it could use them to attack territories inside Russia, which could start a world war.
" In our call, Blinken and I discussed next steps to expand global support for the Peace Formula and solutions to expand wheat exports," Kuleba said on the X messaging platform, formerly known as Twitter. I thanked the US for all the help provided and emphasized the need to improve Ukraine's long-range capabilities by providing ATACMS ," he said.
