Fires have reactivated in Cyprus, while high temperatures continue to be present.
Firefighters from Greece and Jordan have come to the country's aid, while the flames continue to burn hundreds of hectares of land. The government of Cyprus has asked for help from other countries to deal with the situation.
The fire was initially brought under control during the night, but now the situation has become more difficult. Fire crews remain at the scene to deal with the spread and any possible explosion in the area.
Portugal is also in a difficult situation, where thousands of hectares of land were burned and 11 people were injured. Temperatures were over 40 degrees Celsius, making the situation difficult. Smoke and ash from the fire has spread to the surrounding areas.
Authorities warned that the risk of wildfires remains extremely high across the country, with more than 400 firefighters on the ground.
In neighboring Spain, the situation also remains difficult as it has spiraled out of control. Thousands of hectares continue to burn for days, endangering the houses nearby.
