Military intelligence drones attacked the Metafrax Chemicals chemical plant, a key player in the Russian military-industrial complex.
According to information from intelligence services and reported by Ukrainska Pravda, "Metafrax Chemicals" in the Perm Territory of the Russian Federation is key to the Russian chemical industry and the second largest producer of organic chemicals in Russia.
According to preliminary information, the Ukrainian drone attack damaged urea production equipment. The company's products are key ingredients for the production of explosives: urotropine, methanol, pentirit and urea. The plant is located 1,600 km from the Ukrainian border.
Ukraine has also attacked at least two major oil refineries inside Russia, including one located 1,400 kilometers from the front lines, while Romania reported violations of its airspace by Russian drones, days after fellow NATO member Poland said Russian drones entered its territory.
Officials in the Bashkortostan region, located deep in Russia, said a fire had broken out at one of the largest oil refineries in the city of Ufa. According to officials, the fire broke out after debris from two drones fell into the building.
"The two downed drones fell into the building's space. In the first case, a small fire that broke out was quickly extinguished. In the second case, water supplies were cut off," Radiy Khabirov, the head of the Russian region of Bashkortostan, wrote on Telegram.
