Ukraine is not trying to annex Russian territories. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, referring to the military operations that have continued for a week in the Kursk region of Russia.

"Ukraine does not want to annex any territory in the Kursk region, but wants to protect the lives of its citizens. The sooner Russia agrees to restore a just peace, the sooner the incursions will stop. The only targets are military facilities and Russian military personnel. Our attack prevents Russia from moving further units into the Donetsk region and complicates its military logistics," said Heorhii Tyhiy, spokesman for Ukraine's Foreign Ministry.
