The decision has been made, a lot of blood will be shed! Putin targets 3 NATO

Europe is not prepared for such an attack...

Europe's top military and defense experts gathered this week at the Defense 24 Days conference in Poland to discuss the possibility of a NATO attack by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"The decision has already been made," writes German newspaper Bild  , citing unnamed European military and defense experts, making it clear to the international community that Putin will attack a NATO country.

The danger is already clear, according to what was said at the Defense and Security conference "Defense 24 days" held a few days ago in Poland, writes the German media.

"It has already been decided that the Baltics (including the three European countries Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) will be attacked once Ukraine is defeated," said military historian Philip Petersen of the Center for New World Studies think tank. of Warfare', based in Washington.

At the same time, Estonian Chief of General Staff Martin Herem believes that Russia may use conventional weapons to attack NATO. "We must be able to destroy the enemy. There is no point in trying to scare it or convince it not to attack...Russia has the weapons, ammunition and soldiers to attack NATO. Even after two years of war in Ukraine", adds Martin Herem.

On the same wavelength is the former Polish general Valdemar Skrzypczak, who emphasizes that "the question is not if Russia will attack us, but when and where".

Major General Marek Tomaszczyk, commander of the Armed Forces Service of Poland, states that Ukraine is currently "a testing ground for Russian weapons and war tactics."

After the end of hostilities between Moscow and Kiev, a "war between Russia and Belarus on the one hand and Poland and its partners on the other" could break out, he underlines.

How can NATO defend itself against a Russian attack?

"If Putin attacks NATO's eastern flank, the Russians will have a lot of casualties, a lot of blood will be spilled," says Justin Bronk, a senior researcher at the Royal United Services Institute. , based in the United Kingdom. But NATO has a great weapon for this: its "air superiority".

Bronk further explains that the prospect of a long war of attrition would not deter Putin's regime.

“In Ukraine, 450,000 men have already been killed or wounded, and the government continues to fight. By contrast, a Russian war in the Baltics would involve massive airstrikes with the Kremlin ordering its troops to withdraw after hours or days. The best tools available to defend NATO against Russia are modern fighter jets like the F-35, cruise missiles like Taurus, Tomahawk and Storm Shadow.

However, Europe is not prepared for such an attack.

Currently, only the US has adequate means to counterattack Russia. "The three Baltic countries, which could theoretically prepare for this in two to three years, are making no effort so far to gain a great air superiority," warns the British Justin Bronk, a position with which the head of Estonian Armed Forces. , Martin Herem, also lines up.

"We are not prepared for war with Russia. Neither Estonia nor NATO", as he warns.

For this reason, Herrem calls for 5% of the GDP of all NATO countries to be used for defense spending at least for the next two years in order to massively rearm the three European countries that have been washed away from the Baltic. , Bild newspaper reports.
