North Korean leader Kim Jong Un left Russia on Sunday in his armored train, Russian media reported, ending his six-day visit that largely focused on military matters.
Kim's first visit abroad since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic came amid fears in the West that Moscow and Pyongyang will defy sanctions and reach an arms deal.
The Ria Novosti news agency released a video showing Kim leaving. This agency reported that the "departure ceremony" was held at the Artyom-Primorsky-1 station, while the TASS agency said that Kim's train started about 250 kilometers to the border.
Videos released showed Kim greeting the Russian delegation led by Natural Resources Minister Alexander Kozlov.
Earlier on September 17, TASS said Kim was given five explosive drones, a surveillance drone and a bulletproof vest as a gift from a regional governor.
TASS reported that "the North Korean leader accepted five kamikaze drones and one surveillance drone of the Geran-25 type, which can be launched vertically."
According to this agency, the governor of the Primorye region - located on the border with China and North Korea - also "offered Kim Jong Un a bulletproof vest" and "special clothes that cannot be detected by thermal cameras."
On Saturday, the North Korean leader met with Russia's defense minister in Vladivostok, where they inspected a range of weapons including hypersonic missile systems.
Kim's visit to Russia, which began on Tuesday, has focused mainly on military matters. He also met with the Russian president, Vladimir Putin.
Moscow is believed to be interested in buying munitions from North Korea in order to continue the war in Ukraine, while Pyongyang wants Beijing's help to develop its nuclear program, which is subject to international sanctions.
The Kremlin has said that no agreement will be signed during the visit./REL
