The investigations of the Greek authorities for the murder of the surveyor Panagiotis Stathis in Psikiko are entering a new phase after the arrest of the 44-year-old "Georgos" and the accusations against him for the execution.
What the police officers handling the case are now looking for is the moral author of the murder, the man who gave the order for the cold-blooded execution.
According to available information, a person from Mykonos allegedly entered the ELAS microscope to "sign" the death contract for the 54-year-old surveyor.
Apology from the 44-year-old
The 44-year-old "Giorgos" is expected to apologize to his lawyer on Thursday with the argument that his client "denies the accusations and his involvement" in the surveyor's murder.
However, the police managed to collect the evidence with which they "connected" the case, where the latest information refers to the gunpowder found in "Giorgo's" belt, while the results of the examination of his car, gloves and jacket.
The house where he lived with his partner in Psychiko provided some of the "answers" they were looking for.
There, in a suspended ceiling, they found a box in which the 44-year-old had hidden two mobile phones, a GPS device and SIM cards. Together with the clothes, shoes and other items they have collected, they have been sent to the Police laboratories, where they are being tested for fingerprints, genetic material and traces of gunpowder. At the same time, contacts, messages and geographical points will be found through telephones.
It is worth noting that, according to the information, the police consider it certain that the 44-year-old owns another rented place where he may have hidden weapons and other things, and is trying to locate him.
