Gunfire has been reported outside the courthouse in the northwestern German city of Bielefeld, where a court hearing was being held against Hüseyin Akkurt, 38, suspected of murdering former professional boxer Besar Nimani.
The shooting occurred at around 1:30 p.m., immediately after the end of the hearing. BILD has learned that at least two family members of the defendant are among the injured. In addition to the brother, the father is also reportedly injured - he is suspected of being shot in the lung and is in critical condition. It is learned that a third person is also injured.
According to local media reports, the target of the shootings were Akkurt's relatives.

German news agency dpa, citing police sources, also reported that the incident was being treated as a targeted attack on people close to Akkurt.
Eyewitnesses tell BILD that police officers outside the courtroom door suddenly shouted: "Someone is shooting outside!" Then everyone ran into the street.
The defendant's brother, Akkurt, was wounded in the leg by the first shots. A video shows him limping - but the gunfire continued to hit him, eyewitnesses report.

The Niman murder trial was taking place under tight security, with police guarding the courthouse and visitors, witnesses and reporters being searched before entering.
The gunman opened fire from a sidewalk, then got into a black car and fired again. Two people are believed to have been involved in the shooting, one of whom was arrested by police.

The trial for the murder of professional boxer Besar Nimani began at 9 am.
The suspected killer, Hüseyin Akkurt (38), who was arrested in Brussels in mid-July, is on trial. A second suspect is still at large.
