Billionaire Elon Musk, who has recently been in the media spotlight after being appointed as head of Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency, has congratulated the far-right party in Germany, AfD, on its election results.
"Really, congratulations Alice Weidel! At this rate of growth, the AfD will be the majority party in the next elections," Musk wrote on the X network.
The rise of the AfD in yesterday's elections in Germany, an anti-immigration party, is the result of public anger over migration and security issues, following a spate of attacks carried out by immigrants, and concerns about a weakening economy.
