Analyst Zejnullah Jakupi spoke about the elections held in Germany where Friedrich Merz was elected as the new chancellor.
He says that everyone is believing that Merz is a safe coalition, even though he will not perform miracles, but there will be stability. According to Jakupi, although the result is not yet final, no changes are expected if a CDU/CSU and SPD coalition is formed.
"The loss of sympathy for Scholz made most people trust the conservative parties. The party led by Olaf Scholz is no longer seen as capable of leading after being condemned by the United States of America. Everyone is believing that Merz is a safe coalition, even though he will not perform miracles, but there will be stability. Maybe there should be talks regarding energy, will nuclear power plants be abandoned, because in this aspect the SPD is adapting somewhere, since the production of alternative energy was more of an idea of the green party. I think there will be a merger of the three entities and I do not think there will be any other result," the analyst told "Euronews Albania".
