Since 1 year ago, it has been said that Sali Berisha has thought of bequeathing the throne of opposition to Ilir Meta, gradually passing the "blue" membership and representative structures, which must be admitted to have attracted the majority of the official PD.
After taking the 288 "de facto" councilors of the entire representative opposition majority in 61 municipalities, Ilir Meta has taken the second step, to grab the DP headquarters under the guise of the "Together We Win" coalition logo.
According to the information available to "Pamphlet", Ilir Meta has addressed the Ministry of the Interior, as the authority that has the authority to administer and provide offices for use by political parties, requesting that the legitimate PD be removed from its headquarters and given to the first opposition force.
Ilir Meta made this request with the tag of the CEC as the leader of the coalition, using as an argument the fact that in the last elections the first opposition force emerged and the second force in the country, therefore according to him, the largest grouping of belongs to the PD headquarters.
However, this argument used by Ilir Meta is invalid, because according to the law on political parties, there are two definitions, which he knows very well, but pretends not to know:
First, the SCUP building belongs to the legitimate PD as the first opposition force in the last 3 parliamentary elections, even if until the 2025 elections, it does not have only the chairman of any deputy.
Secondly, party offices are not given based on the result criteria in local elections, even if a political force or group wins 61 municipalities and 100% of councilors.
