Will there be any sensational arrests this fall? The files that SPAK has in hand and those that are covered in dust...
The policy will return to normal from Monday next week. The Prime Minister has called the ministers to a meeting, as it is expected that the Parliament will resume its work. But it seems that the most attention is on SPAK. Although there was long talk of sensational arrests, the only one who went behind bars this year was Ilir Beqaj. Undoubtedly, his arrest was delayed, but Albanians want more.
However, it is expected that SPAK will start where it left off before the holidays: with the "January 21" file. By decision of the Supreme Court, it was ordered to investigate the roles of Sali Berisha and Lulzim Basha. For this reason, most likely in a few days we will see them climb the steps of SPAK, to be questioned about what happened on January 21, 2011. The question that everyone is asking is: Will Lulzim Basha, Sali Berisha?
On the other hand, it is expected that this autumn SPAK will send Sali Berisha for trial, for the affair with the "Partizani" Complex.
Of course, arrests are also expected. There are many who live in fear of arrest, while the only one who shows it is Ilir Meta. He is under scrutiny for several files, the most important being CEZ-DIA, US lobbying and wealth concealment. SPAK has been dragging its files for 3 years and if it does not act before the elections, then this body has most likely been bought by Meta.
SPAK is expected to upset the majority this fall. According to rumors, Frida Krifca and Olta Xhaçka can be taken as defendants, why not with security measures. Xhaçka is accused of having affairs with army properties, while Krifca is accused of stealing EU funds. The list includes several former mayors, who are also on SPAK's plate.
Let's not forget that SPAK keeps the "McGonigal" file in its drawer. Until now, Duman has not dared to approach Edi Rama. We also have the Xibraka file where Olsi Rama comes out, which will also put SPAK prosecutors to the test.
A big action is expected regarding the "SKY ECC" interceptions. There are hundreds of judges, prosecutors, former judges and former prosecutors, police officials and lawyers who are expected to go to jail. This action is expected to shake the foundations of justice in the country.
But there are files that have been sleeping for years in SPAK.
Before the Serious Crimes were dissolved, Izet Haxhia filed a lawsuit against Sali Berisha for 23 crimes. It's about all the crimes that rocked the country, from pyramid schemes to trafficking and murder. Haxhia testified two days in a row to Serious Crimes and after this prosecution was dissolved, the file was transferred to SPAK, but it has remained in oblivion for more than 3 years.
Another similar file is that of the Haklaj family. They sued Berisha and many others for the murder of their sons. Even 1 year ago, Aishe Haklaj also testified for almost 12 hours. This file is also covered in dust, as it seems to have been forgotten.
A very sensational file that was expected to bring earthquakes is that of the murder of former banker Artan Santo. In 2021, SPAK restarted the investigation and it was expected to clear up. More than two years have passed and no one knows who killed Santo. The names of politicians involved have also been mentioned, but the investigations have stalled.
We have Gërdec's file. When Fatmir Mediu was sent for trial, a fraction of it was opened, where Berisha's son is in the scanner, but it seems that the file has ended in the Greek calendars.
Meanwhile, there are several other files that SPAK has been investigating for years. The files are under investigation, but cannot be copied. / Pamphlet
