Just like Rama in 2016 against Ben Blushi, Berisha is today using the "farce referendum against rivals" to mask the lack of real competition within the party...

The parody of Sali Berisha, who is calling his election as an uncontested candidate a "referendum for the president", is not at all the doctor's idea, and even less so the 'smart' minds around him.

It's simply a copy-paste taken from Edi Rama.

The latter, in April 2016, called a referendum to confirm himself, after being publicly challenged by Ben Blushi.

Almost the same form and the same content.

After Blushi asked Edi Rama to stand before the members in a race for mayor, according to the "one member, one vote" principle, Rama refused, saying that he had been voted in as prime minister.

But that didn't work and then he invented the referendum, which in fact wasn't one at all.

A referendum is not held for individuals, but for issues or causes. For individuals there are only elections. And it cannot be called an election if there is no confrontation.

In 2016, namely on April 9, Edi Rama used his entire propaganda machine to present that event as epochal.

The media close to him wrote: "For the first time in the history of pluralism in Albania, a political party holds a referendum on its internal affairs."

Of course, it was the first time. But it was also a 'horned nonsense', which had no connection to political reality.

Not even authoritarian leaders, let alone dictators, concoct such idiocies. They hold elections that are not free, fair, or competitive, where every important actor is either politically eliminated or otherwise annihilated.

But not such farces that resemble amateur performances.

At the time, it was said that 81,000 SP members had been called to the referendum, but in reality not even 30,000 participated. The real figure was kept hidden and Edi Rama never mentioned it again.

The holding of that referendum, an initiative of Edi Rama, was decided by the Socialist Party Congress to quell the turmoil that engulfed this political force after strong debates created by MP Ben Blushi, who was seeking elections for the position of party leader.

Voting from Surrel, Edi Rama declared then:

"I want to say that this is the first time, but it is not the last, that we will use the referendum to expand the spaces of participation and access to decision-making of every member of our party, in a process that is of particular importance, as the Socialist Party has reopened, is expanding day by day and is growing with new members.

"Today we have a renewed body and almost free of fictitiousness, as we have fought a battle against fictitious membership and we continue to work towards the objective that, on the 25th anniversary of the birth of the Socialist Party, it will have 150 thousand members inside and outside Albania."

If you look at what is happening today and instead of Edi Rama we put Sali Berisha, it seems that we have not only the same form, but also the same words.

As if the people from the doctor's media kitchen work in the Prime Minister's Office.

It's no wonder, no./ Pamphlet
