The head of SPAK, the man who is overshadowing Edi Rama, is this the beginning

The head of SPAK has shown that he is not afraid to take decisions that shake the foundations of power. This is a signal to Rama and to the entire political caste that has relied on links to crime to maintain the status quo...

For years, Edi Rama has been the main actor of the Albanian political scene, a sophisticated artist who knew how to play the role of absolute leader in a country gripped by crime and corruption. But every actor, no matter how skilled, must know when to leave the stage. In Albania, it seems that the head of SPAK is taking on the role of a new director, writing the final script for Bablok.

In a development that no one expected, SPAK has hit the notorious gang of Elbasan led by Suel Çela, a figure who until yesterday walked calmly on the city's boulevards, with an immunity that only strong connections with prosecutors, judges and politicians high authorities could guarantee it. Elbasan's gang was more than a criminal structure, it was a symbol of a system that functioned as a "republic within a republic." But Duman, unexpectedly and without making any unnecessary noise, dismantled this symbol, showing that for him there are no untouchables.

Is Altin Dumani more than a prosecutor? For many, he is already being seen as a figure that reflects the authority and confidence that Rama once claimed to possess. While Edi Rama loses popularity, the support that Duman receives from the US shows that Albania is entering a new era. An era where Bablok is no longer invulnerable and where alliances with the underworld no longer guarantee political survival.

SPAK's recent operations have shown that criminal structures, including those most connected to power, are no longer safe. Suel Çela, with unlimited access to media, politics and justice, probably thought he was a 'little king' in Elbasan. While Edi Rama immersed himself in his PR arts to create spectacle with imaginary investments and thin propaganda, Dumani is doing what Rama has promised but never realized: dismantling criminal structures and building a functioning justice system .

It is not Edi Rama who created SPAK or the new justice system. This is a tired propaganda that Albanians no longer believe. The new justice system in Albania was designed and implemented only by international factors, who, in addition to monetary investments, took care of the smooth running of this process down to the last detail. The government and the opposition of that time had no choice but to vote for the justice reform. Today, scared to the core, Edi Rama takes care to sell this as a success for him and the Socialist Party.

The head of SPAK has shown that he is not afraid to take decisions that shake the foundations of power. This is a signal to Rama and the entire political caste that has relied on links to crime to maintain the status quo. American support for Duman is not just a good sign for Albanian justice, but also a warning for those who see politics as a shield from the law.

Rama may still be in power, but support for him is fading. We ask ourselves: when a man like the head of SPAK gains the trust of citizens and international allies, what happens to a prime minister who is supported less and less by the people and more and more by his political-economic clients and criminal gangs?

Is Albania moving towards a federal republic of justice? It is too early to tell, but SPAK's latest strikes indicate a shift in the balance of power. Maybe this is not the end of Edi Rama, but it is certainly the beginning of the end. Albania, divided between the power of politics and justice, is approaching a new federation: a federation where law can be stronger than bargains. / Pamphlet
