Albania, the Republic that is dissolving under one name
Edi Rama /

Parallels from Tirana to Rome; when democracies kneel before a name...

A silent orchestration is taking place in Europe. In Italy, Meloni started it. In Albania, Edi Rama has completed it. Both are building schemes that no longer produce either government or opposition; but a single leader, with absolute power and with the people on their knees. Democracy on paper, democracy with signature.

In Italy, Giorgia Meloni is trying to sell a model of "institutional efficiency" through an electoral law with a power bonus. All to build a government that no longer asks anyone: neither parliament, nor the opposition, nor the president.
In Albania, Edi Rama has passed this stage. He no longer needs a bonus. He has captured everything: parliament, justice, territory, and most recently even the qualifying majority.

But this is not enough for him. No, he needs another height, another throne. He has decided: he will become President of the Republic. But not like the ceremonial ones who play chess in the Presidency. No! He wants the Presidency that controls everything, a super-president with rewritten powers, with the 'sovereign' seal and the parliament as decoration.

This is the scheme. This is the path that is being laid today, word by word, article by article, tender by tender, to turn Albania into a republic with a single head and many hands that only applaud.

Rama doesn't seek power – he seeks eternity

This is not simply an institutional transformation. This is a personal project, a biological plan. Because Rama is no longer thinking as a politician, he is thinking as a necessary eternity, as the "founding father" of a state that should never function without him.

He is not building institutions, but carving monuments to himself. So it does not matter if the government functions. It is enough to perpetuate himself in a new format, where there is no longer an opposition, but its political use as an alibi for pluralism.

And the opposition, more corrupt than ever, has set itself only one mission: to keep Rama in power through its incompetence. To be a functional wreck that serves his propaganda to say: "Look what I'm facing, how can you not love me?"

From Meloni to Rama: Same scheme, same ambition, but not the same speed

Meloni will face Mattarella, the Constitutional Court, the opposition, the media. Rama has nothing left to face, except a crushing wall of silence. And he knows it. That's why he's rushing. If there's no signal from the US, from some open McGonigal file, no one inside has the power to say: stop!

He will go down in history as the prime minister who became president, the president who ruled without limit, the ruler who left no room for rotation, only for successors chosen by him.

Albanians, on the other hand, are faced with a silent choice: to sit with their hands in their pockets watching as they lose the republic, or to finally understand that even the “lesser evil” is no longer an option. Because those who build the state on themselves are always temporary, but the ruins they leave behind are very heavy./ Pamphlet
