The job market is evolving rapidly, influenced by technological advances, industry shifts and global changes. Forbes magazine has identified the 10 highest paid jobs for this year, based on market demand, innovation potential and social impact.
Five of these professions turn out to be based on knowledge of information technology, such as cyber security experts; software developers; virtual reality and augmented reality developers; e-commerce and digital marketing specialists, as well as robotics engineering.
But how updated are young Albanians with these requirements of the labor market and how oriented are they towards technology to transform it into the profession of the future?
It turns out that in the academic year 2023-2034, the branch of study "Information Technology and Communication" was the fourth most frequented with 7.7% of the total number of registered students. While they continue to preside over the traditionally preferred branches, such as economics, law or medicine.
But while in the world, technology-based jobs are among the best paid, how do they turn out in Albania?
The data show that salaries in this sector are ranked second after the financial sector, with an average of over 123,000 ALL per month.
