This year seems to be calmer in the foreign exchange market, where the expectations of agents say that the euro-lek exchange rate will be more stabilized.
Dritan Vakaj, director of the Association of Foreign Exchange Agencies, during an interview for "E-ZONE" said that there is no signal that 2024 will have big fluctuations, like the year we left behind.
" As we speak today, there is no evidence that the year we have just started will have major fluctuations. Of course, the lek will be in a strong position, since the economic indicators are that we will have an inflow of euros in the market, with an even more positive tourist year or with real estate, a sector which has a significant contribution to the flow of euros in the country. Therefore, we can say that Leku will continue to be superior ", said Vakaj in "Vizion Plus".
But who could be the new exchange rate this year?
" Market agents are of the opinion that the new exchange rate will fluctuate in the range of 103-105 ALL. There is no other indicator for a new exchange rate in the coming months ", explained Vakaj in "E-ZONE".
At the beginning of December, the euro reached a new record, reaching 101 ALL. At the beginning of this year, specifically at the end of this week, one euro reached 104 ALL.
