High prices on the one hand and poverty on the other are dampening spending for the end-of-year holidays.
"There are fewer sales. They have dropped a lot. Plus, with the price increases, people don't have money. They are very poor."

"The devaluation of the euro should in theory bring about a reduction in prices for imported products, but in practice this is not happening. The reason is related to the lack of competition, informality and abuse in the trading chain. During holiday periods, demand increases and this is used as an excuse for price increases, while the consumer remains the most damaged party ," said Klodian Muço, an expert on the economy.
