A citizen protest has begun in front of the Parliament, where citizens have gathered in anticipation of the plenary session that is expected to begin at 12:00. Also equipped with eggs, the protesters warn that they will throw them at the deputies the moment they enter the Parliament building.
The area around the Parliament has been cordoned off by numerous police forces. The perimeter of the institution has been surrounded by metal fences, while State Police and Rapid Intervention Forces officers have been deployed on the ground to ensure security and avoid incidents during the protest.
Meanwhile, protesters have taken up positions near the main entrance to the Parliament, where MPs are expected to pass to participate in the parliamentary session.
During the rally, there was no shortage of slogans against Prime Minister Edi Rama and the majority. "Arrest Rama", "You do not represent us" and "Parliament of crime" are some of the slogans constantly heard by the protesters, who demand the removal of the Prime Minister and the holding of political responsibilities.
