Meteorologist Lajda Porja made the weather forecast and said that today will be the last day in terms of the African heat.
The Meteorology Department also stated that this week the Albanian territory will be affected by unstable weather and the temperature will drop. According to it, starting from Wednesday onwards, there will be quite cool weather, which will last even during the weekend.
"Today will be the last day we will have this African heat wave. We expect very high temperatures today as well, 39-40 degrees will be in almost all the main cities of Albania."
However, this African heat wave is now gradually leaving. It is predicted that tomorrow will bring a drop, which will be by 2 degrees. However, it will still be hot weather with values of 39 degrees. Tomorrow we expect to have a lot of clouds, there will also be humidity and in fact that the coolness of the weather will not be felt much.
Starting from Wednesday and onwards, we will have quite cool weather, which will last including the weekend. Temperatures will drop significantly starting from Wednesday and until the weekend. We expect a maximum of 34-35° during Wednesday. Around this value will be Thursday, it will be Friday, which will have no more than 30°. Also the weekend will be almost at 30 or 31°.
Regarding precipitation, today we will have stable weather, more clear skies, less cloudiness. It is expected that on Tuesday we will have precipitation late in the evening, which will be mainly in the northern part.
Wednesday will be the day that will bring a cloud system bringing rain showers and strong winds, mainly in the north and center. It is not excluded on Tuesday night, in the morning of Wednesday, also the Vlora region.
The weather is expected to be stable over the weekend, although the thermometer will not be more than 30 or 31° and we will have mostly clear and cloudy skies. So, it improves significantly, starting from Wednesday we will have a drop in temperatures even in the minimum values, from the tropical nights that we have experienced almost all these days, the thermometer will drop significantly and the morning of Thursday and Friday will be quite cool.
"We will have strong wind storms starting from Wednesday and at least until the weekend, especially on land but also on the coasts," the meteorology department said.
Asked by journalist Esmeralda Mulaj what the weather will be like in the countries of the region, the meteorologist stated that the same rainfall situation will also include the region.
"The Republic of Kosovo will have torrential rain starting from Tuesday. Today is the hottest day where Kosovo registers 35 degrees, but from Tuesday onwards the thermometer will drop by 2-3 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday, and significantly, we even expect the thermometer on Friday, which will also be the coolest day of this week in Kosovo, to register no more than 25 or 26°. It is actually predicted that wind, torrential rain and hail storms will be dominant in most of Kosovo.
"North Macedonia will record a very high temperature today, 37-38° in the city of Skopje. It is expected that today will be clear and hot weather. On Tuesday, humidity increases, the thermometer drops to 35° but the heat is felt again, since it is not likely that we will have precipitation. Precipitation will begin on Wednesday. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, North Macedonia will also have cool and unstable weather," the meteorology concluded.
