The positive performance of the tourism and construction sectors, two of the key areas for economic growth in Albania and the promotion of consumption, has significantly increased the demand for manual workers.
On the official website of the National Employment and Skills Agency, a platform on which a part of the jobs from businesses are published, there are 1638 advertisements of businesses looking for employees.
What is noticeable is that the range of demand is versatile in terms of training, but currently the urgency to fill the vacancies that businesses have for support workers, without the need to have a degree, dominates.
Among the elementary professions or trades, carpenters, sanitary workers, cooks, receptionists, bartenders, security guards, packaging workers, machinists, waiters, tailors, manual laborers in building construction, welders, concreters, duro-aluminum workers, electricians, marble workers, mechanics, drivers, salesmen, farmers, laundresses, etc. Those interested can register on the portal by uploading their CV and apply for the positions they are interested in.
One of the main problems currently faced by Albanian businesses in the country is the lack of labor force due to the emigration of young people to the European labor markets, as well as the claims for higher wages, since the cost of living has risen significantly for nearly a year. .
Last year, the government undertook a reform to increase salaries in the public sector, making the average salary this year in the state reach 1,000 euros per month. While it has also undertaken an awareness campaign in the private sector with the aim of offering better payments to employees, despite the fact that both sectors have not moved in the same direction in this regard.
However, this year it has been noticed that salaries for manual workers have exceeded those of brain professions, varying according to the trade on average from 1500-2000 euros per month./ Scan
