
Individuals who have been employed for at least 12 months and who terminate employment are entitled to unemployment benefits.
This payment varies based on the length of time a certain person has been working, where the benefit is 3 months for a year of work, 6 months for 3 years of work and 12 months for more than 5 years of social security contributions. Referring to the official data of the Ministry of Finance, until the month of July, the expenses of the state budget for the payment of unemployment have reached 475 million ALL, or 53% of the total fund programmed for 2023.
Meanwhile, if we refer to the year 2022, according to official data, a significant decrease in the number of unemployment benefit beneficiaries has been observed from 2,914 unemployed jobseekers to beneficiaries resulting in January 2022, this number decreased to 2,307 pu.pa in December 2022.
In the unemployment payment scheme during the 12-month period of 2022, an average of 418 beneficiaries have entered each month, where the largest specific weight is occupied by people who come from reduced activity or termination of work contracts. Meanwhile, as a result of the end of the treatment period, an average of 468 beneficiaries have left the unemployment payment scheme every month.
Based on the benefit period it is noted that the highest number continues to belong to the 12 month benefit period. This is for two reasons: the contribution period over 10 years and the age group over 55 for women and over 60 for men. Each unemployment benefit recipient receives a basic level, which is 50% of the national minimum wage. /Scan
