On December 19, 2025, Altin Dumani's mandate as head of SPAK legally ends. So what do ordinary Albanians think about a renewal of his mandate after December? To test this question, I conducted a quick survey, distributing the questionnaire link via 2,000 completely random SMS messages throughout the country.
A full 58.1% of the 1,687 respondents who completed the questionnaire wanted the renewal of Duman's mandate (see graph below). Among the 41.9% who did not want the renewal, the vast majority were voters of the DP-ASHM and the SP (very few were voters of other parties or non-voters).
Since SPAK prosecutors are generally approaching the end of their mandate, I included in the questionnaire the question "Do you think SPAK prosecutors should be given another mandate after 9 years in office?"
Only 53.3% of the 1,687 respondents who completed the questionnaire wanted the mandate of SPAK prosecutors to be renewed (see graph below). Among the 46.7% who did not want the renewal, the vast majority were voters of the DP-ASHM and the SP. But quite a few were voters of small parties or non-voters.
