US-Albania relations were established on July 28, 1922. The first ambassador was then appointed on December 4, 1922, Ulysses Grant Smith. They were interrupted with the official closing of the American embassy in Tirana on September 16, 1939, to return on March 15, 1991 with the appointment of Ambassador William Raierson.
The American Empire, for us Albanians, is the savior of our annihilation at the beginning of the state with the veto of President Wilson in Paris. It was not included as much as we deserved and wanted, when the English after the Second World War, deviated from the destinies of Greece, leaving us, further in the hands of Stalin. The consequences are known. Then, in half a century of the dictatorship, they were a dream, hope, greed and many things that kept the opponents of the regime alive. Droppers with saboteurs did not produce freedom, until the great collapse of the Berlin wall, the separation of systems, shock waves for the entire east. In the 90s, a visit by Ramiz to New York at the UN marked a softening, and then protests of dissatisfied communists against satisfied ones, where there was no lack of filling processing of the crowds, produced pluralism, almost controlled in Albania. Americans return to Tirana, with the restoration of diplomatic relations, a sign of prosperity and importance. Times passed and today we find ourselves in an alienated political map where globalists and conservatives face each other worldwide.
The disappointing surprise after the exit from the regime of the persecuted, the right-wing, those with a memory of knowledge that the USA was staunchly anti-communist, was surprised when in the American Embassy in Tirana, selected as Albanian employees, became former employees and collaborators of the Security State. They were willing agents, aware of everyone's sins in Albania and the Empire selected them as instruments. However, American aid, as it was, continues to be decisive, similar to the 1900s. In 1997, their hand kept Albania on the rails again. The liberation and independence of Kosovo are another eternal American monument for our nation, and we remain the most pro-American nation, perhaps on the planet.
But…!
There is a decline in this support, which is rightly worrying for our friends across the Atlantic. In the last 15 years, tilting with increasing inclination after interests, when the turn has fallen on the agenda, for some complex events, has not produced similar likability. The region where the two Albanian states, Albania and Kosovo or the countries where the Albanians are state-formers such as North Macedonia and Mali i ZI, have significant American attention, although the official Tirana has not been an actor, a unifying factor in this decade.
Every ambassador, diplomat, envoy, congressman or senator who came to Tirana, public headlines had the text that the USA is an ally of the Albanians, the citizens of this country. George Soros, the left-wing philanthropist, had taken root in Albania since 1994 and was building the "party of his people" both American and personal, as the case may be, to have him there when needed.
In the serious event of January 21, 2011, where four citizens were tragically killed, no one can explain the statement of the American ambassador Aleksandër Arvizu, as he claimed that Prime Minister Sali Berisha was a statesman. For what he didn't do? For what he didn't say? Or because he listened to the Americans for some very sensitive information about the people involved?! That Soros, according to the published cables, asked Hillary Clinton, the American secretary of state, to intervene in Tirana, also deciding on American and European political names as mediators?!
In 2013, Edi Rama became prime minister. Clearly included in his parliamentary and government team, the inclusion of names with criminal records, where at the tables he justified himself that I needed them because without them I could not defeat Berisha. The vice comes out with the soul. Americans tolerated it. It was just the beginning.

Këmbëngulja opozitare e presioni amerikano-evropian, solli në dhjetor 2014, dakordësinë për ligjin e dekriminalizimit, ose çmontimin e ramës nga inkriminimi. Rezultati një iluzion. Ndonëse raportet e DEA, Europol, CIA, reflektonin të dhëna tronditëse të këtij trafiku. Ish-kreu shërbimit Informativ Shtetëror, Visho Ajazi, denoncoi në Prokurorinë e Përgjithshme mes të tjerash, emra konkret, një listë të madhe rreth 200 oficerësh policie të inkriminuar si pjesë e bandave të drogës. Heshtje. Amerikanët dhe evropianët me të drejtë kërkonin një impuls më energjik e të pastër të drejtësisë, duke dashur një reformim të sajin, ndonëse sapo ishin mbushur 10 vite nga modeli mëparshëm të Krimeve të Rënda, ideuar po prej tyre. Nazet rezistuese të Edi Ramës i gjendur rehat në rritjen agresive të pushtetit, shemben kur del si pa dashje raporti OSCE, se Edi Rama kishte një pasuri 200 milionë dollarë të menaxhuar nga i vëllai Olsi nëpër off shore në SHBA.
Shfaqet Soros financues e drafti punohet nga njerëzit punonjës nëpër fondacionet e projektet e tij ndër vite. Reforma në drejtësi u votua nga 140 deputetë dhunshëm, e rrallë kush mund ta ketë lexuar. Mesazhet nga rruga e Elbasanit, nëse nuk voton atëherë.....mjaftuan për tufëzimin e kartonave të parlamentit. Donald Lu dhe Romana Vlahutin shpërthyen me një puthje pasioni profesionale më shumë se emocionale pas 140 votave pro. Adriatik Llalla u akuzua e dënua pas përplasjes me Ambasadorin Donald Lu sepse siç ka pohuar ish-prokurori i përgjithshëm, diplomati kërkoi mos hetimin e kompanisë së naftës ku kishin interesa emra jo të panjohur amerikanë. U gatua një kapje e re drejtësisë. Opozita braktisi procesin në mënyrë të pashpjegueshme duke sjellë kosto të lartë. Vettingu erdhi si një gjellë kombëtare e ndërkombëtare, e një ekipi politik mesatarisht të dobët profesionalisht të pakapërdishëm, lexues të porosive të Edi Ramës. Rama rriste pushtetin dhe afrinë me Mafian e të korruptuarit. Ministra e bashkiakë të tij u bënë të pandehur. Ambasadoresha Yuri Kim, fekste nëpër evente e fotot me to si në pasarela mode.
Berisha shpallet non grata. Amerikanët premtojnë prova nuk tregojnë asgjë për tre vite. Basha fshihet pas pafuqisë, thërmon PD-në e prêt mos u duhet ndërkombëtarëve. Të dërguarit Palmer dhe Eskobar gjezdisin në Tiranë si zotër të drejtësisë, ndonëse kur lëkunden nga postet zbulohen interesa jo thjesht zyrtare por me hise ekonomike. Charles McGonigal drejtori FBI korruptuar e dënuar nga Rama, dënuar në USA, zbuloi afera të rënda shërbimesh dhe ekonomike. Ambasada amerikane natyrisht nuk ka qenë e paditur por nuk ka thënë asnjë germë. Yuri Kim shiste barngrënie për PD në favor të Edi Ramës.
Today, after the support of the government and Edi Rama, the Americans know with an infinity of sources that the Albanian dealers and not only of cocaine, generals and mafiosi are connected with Edi Rama. Perhaps more than 15 billion euros have flooded the money laundering market. The DEA knows. It has opened an office in Tirana. They know about Brother Olsin. The interests of the governors and Edi Rama do not coincide with those of the Albanians. Rama may have forwarded the interests of American political groups and corporations to Kosovo, and this has prolonged his stay in power, as it has brought punishment to Berisha as an opponent.

When the citizens get angry and rightly rebel, five or six embassies read drafts in defense of Rama and Veliaj. This is not an alliance with the citizens or the Albanians. The embassy has no manager. The Americans will become allies of the citizens in Tirana and Albania, when they divide their minds and turn their backs on these governors and mayors.
When they behave differently with Edi Rama. When they don't stay supportive of the man more connected to the Mafia than anyone else, at least in the region. If millions of euros of lobbying and billions of investments shut down reactions, this is not a story of allies but alarmists. In the end, embassies are temporary employments, where hundreds and thousands of top officials come and go. For them, the promised land is in Tirana, not in the USA. Money, lover, favor. But we Albanians must burn the evil at any cost and by any means, not them, soft ambassadors and diplomats. I come from a family where my uncle was sentenced in the faraway regime, because he was accused, among other things, of being pro-American. The Voice of America then brought physical prison and suffering to our home, but it instilled freedom and independence in our souls and minds.
