The biggest difference between parents, boys and girls, is that the former think about yesterday, the latter about today, and the latter, only about tomorrow.
I was in Belsh invited by high school students Sami Frashëri and my old friend, the mayor of the municipality Arif Tafani, to talk about my latest novel, Artificial Paradise.
This novel is divided into two parts, Hell and Paradise, but of course I only spoke to the high school students about the second part, because it is too early for them to be afraid of the first part.
I have held several meetings to talk about the world of tomorrow, when Artificial Intelligence will dominate, replacing many of today's professions, including that of a teacher, but in no case have I received more interesting questions than in Belsh.
I don't know if this is the effect of the wonderful lakes of this area or the climate, but the Belsh gymnasts were not only very intelligent, but also quite free-spirited, and as far as I understood, none of them were afraid of the world to come.
This is not true even for the kids in this high school, who reminded me of myself 40 years ago, when, like them, I didn't think about tomorrow at all, but only about the present.
The biggest difference between parents, boys and girls, is that the former think about yesterday, the latter about today, and the latter, only about tomorrow.
In this way the world remains in balance.
This is what happened in Belsh, and that's why the boys didn't get any autographed books, the girls got all the Paradises I had brought, and the teachers left happy because they believed my word that one day Artificial Intelligence will change the education system by making their work easier and more beautiful.
Of course, I was also pleased to have entered dozens of Belshi houses with my Artificial Paradise, the strangest book you can read because, firstly, there are only two characters, secondly, there is only dialogue, and thirdly, the events take place in only 12 hours.
That's how much time Belshi boys spend every day thinking about girls.
