I had the pleasure of meeting President Bill Clinton, during the dinner that was served in his honor in Tirana, and to those who asked me what feeling I got, I told you that it felt like I was at the table with an alchemist, who had touched all the stones with his hand of the world had decided to tell its wonderful story.
Since peoples began to follow their leaders on the screen, no statesman has been more loved and adored than President Bill Clinton. He has shed tears, cried, laughed, rejoiced, been sad and suffered just like all the citizens of the world, transmitting his emotions to everyone's souls.
As President, Bill Clinton was both rational and emotional. He made rational decisions based on emotions and controlled emotions through reason.
In his time the world lived in peace because he did not make any undeserved wars.
Bill Clinton strengthened America by reducing inequality, softened Russia wounded by the defeat of the Soviet Union, and united Europe divided by the half-century Cold War.
But perhaps, no President has been able to do more than Bill Clinton for the Albanians of Kosovo and Albania. The former freed them from Serbian violence, while the latter helped them escape from the violence of the state and each other in the terrible year 1997, which, if not for the US, would probably have had fatal consequences.
Albania would never be what it is today, a normal country living in peace, if President Clinton did not intervene to take the weapons from our hands and reconcile us.
Seeing how he talked and laughed in Tirana, I thought that even now that he is no longer President, he is doing us a great service. Like any alchemist who transmutes stones, he has the power to spread optimism which is the key ingredient to change our world.

And he is right.
