But the fact is that those who were conscientiously absent yesterday from Bill Clinton's speech that signed the liberation of Kosovo, must share their minds with Albin Kurti: they will work for a Kosovo known with the support of the US-EU and Albania of functional democracy and the market of free, or will they continue to spray their voters with conspiratorial anti-Western slogans.
3 and 4 years ago two apparently insignificant events, today constitute unfortunate prophecies for Albania and especially Kosovo. The first was a conference by the Germany-based George Marshall Center for Strategic Studies, which is funded by the US and Germany. The topic was "Danger from foreign interventions in the Balkans". While the second event has to do with a study funded by the Konrad Adenhauer Foundation in Sofia, with the object of the influence of the media that make anti-Western propaganda in the Balkan countries. The events seemed insignificant to people who ignore international and national security issues (they are basically the same thing) in peacetime, and for the time that was not yet that of the war in Ukraine that broke out in 2022, that is, a few years later. But in fact the alarm bell had rung since 2014, at a NATO summit,
The conference held at Hotel Tirana in 2019 brought together security experts, diplomats accredited in Tirana and the President of the Republic at the time, Ilir Meta, and the former President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga. The issues were mainly related to the risk of investments of countries unfriendly to the West and Albania, their projects in infrastructure and strategic sectors. And also with the anti-Western propaganda of certain media. For the sake of truth, precisely in those years, Albania was experiencing strong tensions provoked without real causes in relation to the situation in the country, such as the boycott of the local elections of June 30 and the burning of the mandates of the deputies by the opposition.
And these were a continuation of the "umbrella" of 2017 where the first "sparks" were heard against the "corrupt ambassadors", who we never found out who they were. And of course in the background were the publications of DP lobbying contracts through Biniatta Trade, an off-shore company with Russian owners, that God knows what they served DP!
But in the meantime, Adenhauer's study, which is also a partner Foundation of PD, raised a concern that is parallel but equally and the same as that of the Marshall Center. Disinformation and propaganda driven mainly by autocratic eastern powers towards the EU, NATO and the USA. The recipe is the anathema of the West as "corrupt", "degenerate" and "in crisis of political and cultural identity". Surprisingly, but not so much, these media outlets listed in that study were on the front line of the opposition's nonsense in the Molotov protests from Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard to an 8-year-old school in Shkodër.
But these are now history and the issue of DP is "archived"! There is no US or EU to revive a dead party by its own hand. The most important issue is Kosovo. Precisely because it is not only more important than the opposition in Tirana for Albanians in general, but because it is one of the two issues that, together with Bosnia, can destabilize the Balkans and Europe in this time of war, only 2000 kilometers from Ukraine.
Pasi kemi thënë e stërthënë dëmin që po i shkaktojnë Vuçiç dhe Kurti me rradhë dialogut Sërbi-Kosovë që do çonte drejt marrëveshjes së njohjes reciproke, duhet të vinte edhe vetë Bill Clinton të ritheksonte “marrëzinë e asaj që po ndodh në Kosovë”, duke ju referuar pa emër pikërisht Albin Kurtit. I cili jo rastësisht ka dhe në Tiranë megafonët e tij politikë dhe mediatikë. Biles njëri prej tyre është aq i cçerrë saqë na njoftoi mospjesëmarrjen e tij, a thua se është Allbright dhe jo një i punësuar që shitet për pronar.
Koha po tregon se 2 ngjarjet e cituara në hyrje të shkrimit nuk ishin as të parakohshme e as të pakuptimta. Dhe as nuk shbëjnë përgjegjësitë e mazhorancës në Tiranë për keq-qeverisje të dukshme apo dhe korrupsion që i jep oksigjen pakënaqësive të nxitura nga propaganda anti-perëndimore. Jo më kot disa prej tyre janë kandidatë për qelitë e burgjeve, sepse kanë larguar investime të mundshme perëndimore dhe ndikuar drejtëpërdrejtë në stanjacionin ekonomik. Por fakti është se ata që me ndërgjegje mungonin dje në fjalën e Bill Clinton që firmosi çlirimin e Kosovës, duhet të ndajnë mendjen bashkë me Albin Kurtin: do punojnë për një Kosovë të njohur me mbështetjene SHBA-BE dhe Shqipëri të demokracisë funksionale e tregut të lirë, apo do vazhdojnë të spërkasin votuesit e tyre me parrulla konspiracioniste anti-perëndimore. Nëse të parët që veprojnë në Tiranë janë me një këmbë në varr, gjithnjë në kuptimin politik të fjalës, Kurti është ende në kohë që të mos dëmtojë Kosovën e në fund të shkatërrojë veten. Sepse Shqipëria e Kosova e kanë vendin në Evropë e jo në librat e pagesave të stepave të largëta që na kanë lënë 50 vite mbrapa.
