For 34 years we have had "accidental" deputies, who entered the Parliament as a result of the money paid on the last day of drawing up the lists, which made the "strong" or "elbow" put by the one who has influence big to the chairman.
It has been 34 years since Albania elected deputies who have not worked even for a single day. For 34 years, the Parliament has been filled with names, people, and figures, who raise their hands "amen o hoxha", rarely participate in the works of the Commissions or the Parliament, they also receive a fat salary at the end of the month, and that's it. This has been and will probably remain our Parliament for the next 4 years. This will remain for the next 4 years, the profile of the "deputy" that we voted for and will vote for, without knowing which one, and whom, we are taking to the Parliament of Albania. For 34 years we have had "accidental" deputies, who entered the Parliament as a result of the money paid on the last day of drawing up the lists, which made the "strong" or "elbow" put by the one who has influence big to the chairman.
Only in Albania it has happened, and it is happening, that you become a deputy without having work contributions, maximum level of training, education, employment, or school and university evaluation. In our Parliament, there have been, and there are still today, men and women, who have the mandate of the deputy in their pocket, who have no idea at all of drafting a discussion on the law they approve, on the objections of a draft law, or why they are voting "for" or "against" him. And this should be seen in time. The cause must be sought and found in time, since there was no work practice today. In the political parties in Albania, fraudsters, abusers, uneducated, unformed, and hidden even why with criminal records.
It is enough to open the television archives to see scandals, fights, debates, punches, and bullets in the corridors and cafes of the Parliament. The mandate of the deputy has been desecrated so much that the ambition of any intellectual, professor or doctor of science, to be part of the lists has become invalid. Today's intellectuals look at the Parliament with fear, they look at the form and the process of being included in party lists, to be candidates, and then maybe even deputies in that hall, with suspicion. The Turkish philosopher, Ihsan Sartuk, said that "Parliament is a reflection of those who lead the political parties".
In the Parliament of Albania, there are dozens and hundreds of cases when people who came from "Nowhere" managed to become deputies thanks to dubious ways and forms, took key positions in their parties, managed to become ministers and prime ministers, just as they did as of today, have millions and billions in banks. What does this mean? How is it possible to humiliate the effort and contribution of the students of 1990, who rose up in protests to demolish evil, and not to raise absurdity, masquerade, vanity, theft, and moderate criminality in the system. What does it matter if the Parliament voted or not voted on the "changes to the Electoral Code".
Nothing will change in the climate and mentality of party leadership and drawing up lists, based on strict criteria. They will be deputies again, those who have not signed it once in the "bordero", those who do not know and have never met the people of their constituency, and they will continue to be paid with millions from our taxes, until they retire as "legislators", without having 1 day of work in their lives. This is how we built it and accepted it in our democracy, "Allashkiptarche", far, far away from the European and Western one.
Someone must be held responsible for the state of our Parliament today. Someone should be publicly accused by the Albanians today as "the main cause of the destruction of the values of the temple of democracy". And the "finger" knows where it goes, it points to where it came from in 34 years, all the suffering and destruction of this country, to the man who is "stitched" foot by foot to the future of Albanians, just to keep the future intact his as "leader of the opposition" for another 4 years.
